LOUISVILLE, Ky. — One person has been hospitalized following a crash in the Watterson Park neighborhood.
According to Fern Creek Fire & EMS, crews were called to the 4600 block of Bishop Lane following reports of a car crashing into a building and catching fire around 7 p.m. Saturday.
When crews arrived at the scene, the found a vehicle on fire that spread to the exterior of a building.
Crews said they got the fire under control within minutes to prevent further damage.
It’s unclear if the driver was still inside of the vehicle at the time of the fire but an official said that person was taken to the hospital. The severity of their injuries are not known.
The crash caused delays to Norfolk Southern railroad due to water supply lines being across the tracks and crossing equipment damaged during the crash.
LMPD is currently investigating the cause of the crash.
