LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A woman is dead after a fatal crash Wednesday night in Louisville's Fern Creek neighborhood.

At about 11 p.m., Louisville Metro police, Louisville Fire and EMS responded to a vehicle collision on Bardstown Road at Iona Court, according to an LMPD news release.

Investigators believe the driver made a left turn from the Harley Center in the 5300 block of Bardstown Road onto Bardstown Road.

As the driver pulled onto Bardstown Road, going southbound, her vehicle was struck by another vehicle, also traveling southbound on Bardstown Road.

As a result of the crash, the driver of the vehicle making a left turn was pronounced dead on the scene. Four occupants of the southbound vehicle, including the driver, were transported to UofL Hospital. LMPD says none of them had injuries.

The LMPD Traffic Unit is investigating.
