LOUISVILLE, Ky. — LMPD is investigating a homicide in the Parkland neighborhood after the body of a woman was found in a basement. She was identified as 33-year-old Amanda Berry.
According to investigators, Berry had been dead for a long time before LMPD found her body early Thursday at a home in the 3200 block of Virginia Ave.
Berry's body was transported to the Medical Examiner's Office for an autopsy. Her cause of death has not yet been released.
LMPD's Homicide Investigative Unit is investigating the woman's death.
