LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A woman was killed in a head-on collision Sunday in Taylor County.
Kentucky State Police responded to a two-vehicle injury crash just after 4 p.m. on Kentucky Route 55. One of the drivers involved, Tracy York-Murrell, 39, of Columbia, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A preliminary investigation indicated a 2002 Ford F-150 driven by a 60-year-old man from Columbia crossed the center line and entered the southbound lane, striking York-Murrell's 2021 Nissan Rogue head-on.
A passenger in the Nissan was taken to the hospital for severe, but not life-threatening injuries, according to a KSP news release. A passenger in the F-150 was also hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
No charges were immediately filed. The crash remains under investigation.
