Woman shot in the leg in downtown Louisville, police investigating

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A woman is in the hospital after she was shot early Sunday morning in downtown Louisville.

At about 4:30 a.m., Louisville Metro Police said First Division officers responded to a shooting in the 600 block of W. Jefferson Street.

Officers on scene found a woman suffering from a gunshot wound to her leg. She was transported to UofL Hospital and is expected to survive.

LMPD's Non-Fatal Shooting Unit is handling this investigating. There are currently no known suspects.
