LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A woman was shot on Wednesday near Portland Avenue, according to a release from The Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD).
They say it happened around 3 a.m. in the 1900 block of Portland Avenue.
When officers got to the scene they found a woman shot. They say her injuries are non-life threatening.
Emergency services took the woman to UofL Hospital where she is expected to survive.
LMPD is still investigating what led up to the shooting.
