LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Kentucky firefighters from multiple departments battled a fire Tuesday morning at a mobile home near Shepherdsville.
Zoneton Fire Protection District, Nichols Fire District and Shepherdsville Fire Department crews fought a vacant mobile home fire in the Pryor Valley area.
The call came in just before 5 a.m. Fire officials say this is a very remote area and the mobile home was likely burning for a long time before it was discovered.
Rich Carlson with Zoneton Fire told WHAS11 News there were initial reports that homeless people may be living there, but no one was inside or around when crews arrived on scene.
Fire officials believe the cause of the fire will likely be "undetermined." As of 7 a.m., crews remain on the scene of the fire.
