Let's be real — there are few things more awesome in Hollywood right now than Captain America dating Marcel the Shell.
And Chris Evans and Jenny Slate's relationship is about to make the transition on-screen. The duo signed on to co-star in Gifted, the latest film from Marc Webb ((500) Days of Summer,The Amazing Spider-Man), which just got an April 2017 premiere date.
Unsurprisingly, Evans and Slate will play romantic interests in the movie, about a single guy (Evans) raising his 7-year-old mathematical-genius niece, who's mentored by her teacher (Slate).
While the cynical among us may suggest Evans and Slate's fledgeling relationship is just a long con to support their new project, we have faith that their love is real. And that they'll last long enough to make it to the red carpet together.
After all, few things are as awkward as a couple collaborating on a film, breaking up and then having to play nice on the press tour — right, Sean and Charlize?
