LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Are you registered to vote in the U.S. Presidential Election on Nov. 5?
The deadline for Kentuckians and Hoosiers to register or update their voter information is on Monday, Oct. 7 by 4 p.m. local time.
It's important to check your voter status now to make sure you're able to vote this fall. You must update your registration if you changed your name, residence or mailing address.

To register to vote in Kentucky, you must meet the following qualifications:
- Be a U.S. citizen and a Kentucky resident for at least 28 days before the election
- Non-U.S. citizens, including U.S. nationals do not qualify
- Be at least 18 years old by the next General Election
- Kentucky law allows qualified individuals to register at 17 years of age and be able to participate in a Primary Election if the individual will be 18 years old by the General Election
- Not be a convicted felon (or, if convicted of a felony, my right to vote has been restored following an expungement, Executive Pardon, or Executive Order)
- Not have been judged mentally incompetent in a court of law and have voting rights removed
- Not claim the right to vote outside Kentucky
Ways to register in Kentucky
- Online: Click here to register online. You may use a current Kentucky Driver's License to help you complete an application online.
- Mail: Print and submit a completed Voter Registration Application to your County Clerk's Office. Ensure the registration is postmarked at or before Oct. 7.
- In-person: Visit your County Clerk's Office to submit an application in person.
There are currently more than 3.5 million Kentuckians registered to vote, according to the State Board of Elections.
Monday, Oct. 7 is the last day you can register to vote in Kentucky in time to vote in the 2024 U.S. Presidential Election.

You have the right to vote in Indiana if:
- You are both a U.S. citizen and a resident of Indiana
- You will be at least 18 years of age on or before the next General or Municipal Election
- You are not currently in prison after being convicted of a crime
- You have lived in the precinct where you vote for at least 30 days prior to the election
- You are registered to vote
Ways to register in Indiana
- Online: Click here to register online. Indiana residents with a valid Indiana driver’s license or Indiana state-issued identification card will be able to use this tool to submit or update their voter registration.
- Mail: Print and return the Voter Registration Form to your county's Voter Registration Office or the Indiana Election Division, just be sure it's postmarked at or before Oct. 7.
- In-person: You can apply in person at the voter registration office, county clerk's office or any BMV license branch. If you are applying to receive assistance while voting, you can visit the public assistance office.
Once your voter registration application is received, your county voter registration office will process the application and determine your eligibility. If you are eligible, the county office will send you a voter registration acknowledgment card. Once you receive that card, you will be officially registered. If you are not eligible, or if the application was incomplete, you will receive a notice denying the application or requesting the missing information.
If you have not received a voter registration card or a notice from your county within about 30 days, call your county voter registration office.
According to the Indiana voter portal website, there are currently more than 4.7 million people registered to vote in the Hoosier State.
The last day you can register to vote in Indiana before the 2024 U.S. Presidential Election is Monday, Oct. 7.
