When do polls open on Election Day in Indiana?

INDIANA, USA — Election Day is nearly here, and Indiana voters will have several decisions to make this November on top of choosing who the next president of the United States will be.

Here’s a last-minute checklist to make sure you’re ready to vote on Tuesday, Nov. 5.

When do polls open in Indiana?

The polls will open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. local time on Election Day in Indiana.

Remember: If you are in line at 6 p.m., you will still be allowed to vote. So, stay in line!

What ID do I need to bring to vote in Indiana?

Every voter in Indiana will be required to present some form of identity verification at their polling location before they can cast their ballot.

Proof of identity verification can include a driver’s license, a military ID, or other government-issued ID. 

The ID must include the voter's name and must confirm to the name on the individual's voter registration record. It must also include a photo of the voter and be issued by the state of Indiana or the US Government.
