LOUISVILLE, Ky. — In response to a rise in anti-semitic hate speech, Gov. Andy Beshear formed the Kentucky Anti-Semitism Task Force on Thursday.
Over the weekend, some Kentucky synagogues were part of a nation wide fake bomb threat, known as swatting.
The FBI found someone from outside the nation is behind the threats.
Beshear said Louisville's and Lexington's police chiefs will work with the task for to form training for law enforcement.
Behsear has named eight people, including public officials and faith leaders, to work on the force.
"We are letting Kentuckians of all faiths, who may be hurting during this time say that we see you. And we will keep fighting against hate," he said.
The governor said the taskforce will also assess the state of Holocaust education in the Commonwealth.
