LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Are you already thinking about 2028?
Donald Trump will not be inaugurated as the 47th president of the United States until January, but betting sites are already taking wagers on who will be the 48th. We know it won't be Trump, who will be term limited in 2028.
Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear, who was one of a handful of people vetted to be Kamala Harris' running mate, is listed among the favorites. He was asked Thursday about a potential run for the White House.
“We’ll see what the future holds in the future,” Beshear said. “But right now, my only focus is on this job, is about making sure I continue to stand up for Kentucky and all Americans to ensure that their rights are respected.”
Bookies.com published betting odds Thursday, and Beshear and Harris are tied with Nikki Haley for the seventh-best odds. Other names on the list include various politicians, and even a few athletes.
