(USA TODAY) - For many little girls, pretending to live a day in the life of mommy is just about as good as it gets.
Of course, in their eyes, one of the best parts about being mommy is that you get to wear makeup.
Not all daughters get to be included in mom's beauty rituals. I would have done anything for my aunt, who's pretty much my mother, to pause from her daily routine of cooking, cleaning and managing the household to join me for a day of glam. Even now, as an adult, I have to coerce her to indulge in a little adult face painting.
But that's not the case for mother-daughter duo Gabrielle and Amelia Sterling. Gabrielle is a beauty vlogger known as GiGi Beauty and she lovingly includes her 7-year-old daughter in her work.
Last week, the pair posted the most adorable makeup tutorial we've ever seen.
The 8-minute, step-by-step video shares the details on the hottest products for eyebrow sculpting, contouring and highlighting.
I mean who doesn’t like a fiercely arched brow and dazzling cheekbones?
Makeup application isn't even the best part. The banter between Gabrielle and Amelia is so sweet. They joke about hiding their makeup adventure from daddy, who'll surely disapprove because, well, dads.
“I’m just gonna take it off,” Amelia quips. “And I can hide.”
As Gabrielle introduces brand names like Rihanna’s Fenty lipstick, Amelia shows both enthusiasm and interest. She is the perfect sidekick, and her transformation takes her from a cute little button to mommy’s mini-me.
(It should be noted these two are extremely beautiful sans the cosmetics and their British accents are totally gush-worthy.)
Check out the sweetness:
At the end of the video there’s a takeaway: Gabrielle gazes at her daughter and says,
“Makeup doesn’t make anyone beautiful because you’re already beautiful without makeup, okay?” Amelia nods.
That nugget definitely melts our hearts.
However, this video is not just a mom and daughter enjoying playing with makeup. It’s about parent-child bonding and creating memories that last a lifetime.
