On April 8, millions of Americans will experience up to 4 minutes and 27 seconds of darkness in the middle of the day.
Several restaurants and businesses are offering special deals and discounts in honor of the once-in-a-lifetime celestial phenomena.

Applebee's: Perfect Eclipse Margarita
Prepare to try the newest margarita from Applebee's in honor of the eclipse. The drink features Patron Premium Silver Blanco Tequila, Citronge Orange Liqueur with a dash of Monin Blue Raspberry, passion fruit, lemon and lime.
Burger King: BOGO Whopper
The fast food chain will be giving members of its Royal Perks program a buy-one-get-one coupon for a whopper if they text ECLIPSE to 251251 on April 8. Customers can then redeem the deal by ordering on the app or online through April 15.

There will be a 25% discount for online orders for customers who use the code: eclipse25. The deal isn't redeemable in-store.
Krispy Kreme: Total Solar Eclipse Doughnut
The donut chain is collaborating with Oreo to create a rare sweet treat for the rare event! Krispy Kreme is rolling out a Total Eclipse Donut. It will be an original gazed doughnut dipped in black chocolate icing, sprinkled with silver sprinkles, piped with a buttercream made with Oreo cookie pieces and topped with an Oreo cookie.
MoonPie: Solar Eclipse Survival Kits
Fans of MoonPies can enjoy 4 chocolate minis and 2 eclipse glasses in their Solar Eclipse Survival Kits. You can purchase your kit here for $9.99. If you'd just like the MoonPie branded eclipse glasses, you can buy a pair for $1.99.
Pizza Hut: Total Eclipse of the Hut
If you are hosting an Eclipse party, you will be able to snag any large pizza for $12. The offer is good for up to 10 toppings and can be used for carryout, dine-in or delivery orders.
Raising Canes: Free Texas Toast with Combo Purchase
Raising Cane's is celebrating the cosmic event by giving a free piece of Texas toast with every combo purchase. In addition, you can go to their website on April 8 for a chance to win free Cane's for two decades in honor of the eclipse. Entries close at 11:59 p.m. on April 8. Plus, every entrée gets a free toast valid from April 8-14.
Smoothie King: Eclipse Berry Blitz Special
You will be able to "experience the eclipse like a King" with the new Blueberry Heaven smoothie. The drink has bananas, wild blueberries, apple blueberry juice blend, white grape lemon juice blend, a protein blend and blue spirulina. To top things off, you will get a free pair of eclipse glasses with your purchase, while supplies last. This is available at participating locations.
Sonic: Blackout Slush Float
From March 25-May 3, try a new eclipse-inspired drink called the "Blackout Slush Float." It consists of black slush topped with creamy soft serve and galaxy sprinkles. It's available in a medium size.
Sun Chips: Pineapple Habanero and Black Bean Spicy Gouda Flavor
The snack brand is giving away limited-edition bags of a Pineapple Habanero and Black Bean Spicy Gouda flavor, but only for 4 minutes and 27 seconds. This is the longest time in totality some cities will see during the April eclipse.
You can sign up for the new flavor here, while supplies last, starting at 2:33 p.m. on April 8. Only the first 100 people who submit entries will win the limited-edition flavor (along with two beach towels, a tote bag and two stickers).
