Total solar eclipse 2024: When will totality begin in Kentucky, Indiana?

Thousands of people are expected to visit the Hoosier state in April and it's easy to see why.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Roughly four million Hoosiers live in the path of totality for the upcoming total solar eclipse with hundreds of thousands of visitors expected to flock to Indiana for the spectacle.

On April 8, 2024, the moon will pass between the Earth and the sun casting a full shadow that will block the sun’s light from reaching our planet for a few minutes in the middle of the day.
