Kentucky bracketology: Here's where the experts have the Wildcats seeded in March Madness

UK is ranked No. 10 in the AP Top 25. Here's where the experts have them positioned for March Madness.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — March Madness is approaching and the University of Kentucky basketball team is looking to make a run.

The No. 10 Wildcats (15-4, 5-2) are one game behind Alabama (14-6, 6-1) in the SEC standings entering play Wednesday. Kentucky takes on Florida (14-6, 4-3) Wednesday night at 8 p.m.

UK is No. 21 in the NCAA's NET ratings, which is one of the main criteria used by the NCAA tournament selection committee. Kentucky is just 2-3 against Quad I teams, but 3-0 against Quad II. 

Here's where the experts have Kentucky and other area teams seeded as of Wednesday, Jan. 31:

ESPN's Joe Lunardi

Kentucky: 4 seed vs. UC Irvine, playing in Salt Lake (West region).

Eastern Kentucky: 16 seed vs. UConn, playing in Brooklyn (East region).

Cincinnati: First four out.

Butler: Next four out.

CBS Sports' Jerry Palm

Kentucky: 3 seed vs. Louisiana Tech, playing in Charlotte (Midwest region).

Eastern Kentucky: 16 seed vs. Central Connecticut State (play-in game), then vs. Purdue, playing in Indianapolis (Midwest region).

Butler: First four out.

Fox Sports' Mike DeCourcy

Kentucky: 3 seed vs. High Point (West region).

Eastern Kentucky: 16 seed vs. Southern (play-in game), then vs. North Carolina (South region).

Cincinnati: Next four out.
