LOUISVILLE, Ky. — March Madness is approaching and the University of Kentucky basketball team is looking to make a run.
The No. 10 Wildcats (15-4, 5-2) are one game behind Alabama (14-6, 6-1) in the SEC standings entering play Wednesday. Kentucky takes on Florida (14-6, 4-3) Wednesday night at 8 p.m.
UK is No. 21 in the NCAA's NET ratings, which is one of the main criteria used by the NCAA tournament selection committee. Kentucky is just 2-3 against Quad I teams, but 3-0 against Quad II.
Here's where the experts have Kentucky and other area teams seeded as of Wednesday, Jan. 31:
Kentucky: 4 seed vs. UC Irvine, playing in Salt Lake (West region).
Eastern Kentucky: 16 seed vs. UConn, playing in Brooklyn (East region).

Kentucky: 3 seed vs. Louisiana Tech, playing in Charlotte (Midwest region).
