LEXINGTON, Ky. — One of the biggest rivalries in college sports will write its next chapter in December.
The University of Kentucky announced its non-conference basketball schedule Thursday. UK will take on the University of Louisville at Rupp Arena Saturday, Dec. 14.
Each team is beginning a new era this year under new leadership. Louisville fired Kenny Payne after last season and hired Pat Kelsey, while Kentucky hired former player Mark Pope after John Calipari bolted for Arkansas.
Kentucky's full non-conference schedule is:
- Nov. 4 - Wright State
- Nov. 9 - Bucknell
- Nov. 12 - Duke (Champions Classic in Atlanta)
- Nov. 19 - Lipscomb
- Nov. 22 - Jackson State
- Nov. 26 - Western Kentucky
- Nov. 29 - Georgia State
- Dec. 3 - at Clemson
- Dec. 7 - Gonzaga (in Seattle)
- Dec. 11 - Colgate
- Dec. 14 - Louisville
- Dec. 21 - Ohio State (CBS Sports Classic in New York)
- Dec. 31 - Brown
Louisville has yet to announce its non-conference schedule.
