John Calipari is finalizing a deal with Arkansas, according to multiple sources. Here are the Vegas odds on who might take over in Lexington.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — John Calipari could be on the verge of creating a seismic shift in the college basketball world.

According to multiple reports, the longtime coach of the Kentucky Wildcats men's basketball team is finalizing a deal with Arkansas. The five-year deal is expected to come together by Monday or Tuesday, according to ESPN.

His base salary will reportedly be just under the $8.5 million a year he makes now, however that number will be higher with incentives. 

Calipari has been under pressure in recent years to advance deeper in the NCAA Tournament. That pressure reached an all-time high after 14th-seeded Oakland stunned his team in the first round of this year's tournament.

The move could lead to a major domino effect in coaching circles. Many major names are expected to be interested in the UK job.

Among the names being bantered about are Alabama head coach Nate Oats and Baylor head coach Scott Drew.

Oats posted on social media late Monday night that he is "fully committed" to the University of Alabama and that he will continue to be the head basketball coach.
