NEW YORK — Basketball coach Rick Pitino's St. Johns University office was burglarized Tuesday night.
According to ABC News, two burglars broke in and left with memorabilia and expensive wine. A basketball, $375 bullhorn and a $3,000 bottle of wine were taken by the suspects.
"Really upset," Pitino said on his X account. "Taking my memorabilia is one thing but the 1985 6L Petrus Pomerol has me livid!!!"
Pitino coached the University of Louisville from 2001-2017. He has been the coach at St. John's since 2023.
A St. John's spokesman said the theft occurred about 8 p.m. Tuesday. The university shared surveillance video with the New York Police Department, which is investigating the incident.
According to the New York Post, the suspects also left with a sword.
