LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The University of Louisville football team is going patriotic for Saturday's home game against Jacksonville State.
The team released a teaser video Thursday on X showcasing red, white and blue "Salute to Service" uniforms. The 16-second video revealed special helmets and gloves.
No. 22 Louisville's helmets will feature the classic Cardinal logo with an American flag-themed pattern inside. The same theme will be found on the inside of players' gloves.
The Cardinals will kick off against Jacksonville State at 3:30 p.m. at L&N Federal Credit Union Stadium. The game can be seen on ACC Network Extra.
Louisville is coming off a 62-0 victory over Austin Peay. The blowout was good enough to land the Cardinals in the top 25 of the AP Poll after just missing out in the preseason rankings.
