The Louisville Cardinals football team channeled Muhammad Ali to come up with this Saturday's uniforms.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The University of Louisville football team's latest uniform combination comes courtesy of The Greatest.

The team released a hype video on social media Thursday to showcase the gold-themed jerseys players will wear Saturday against SMU. Plenty of nods to Louisville's own Muhammad Ali can be found throughout the video.

The video begins with Ali's voice in the background and a UofL football player running past various Louisville landmarks, including the Louisville Gardens downtown and Ali's iconic pink childhood home in the Parkland neighborhood.

The Cards will be wearing red jerseys, pants and helmets, but with plenty of gold mixed in. The video shows gold letters and numbers, a gold Cardinal logo and "5-0-2" decal on the helmet, and gold touches on the gloves.

No. 22 Louisville (3-1, 1-0 ACC) hosts SMU (4-1, 1-0) Saturday at noon. You can watch the game on ESPN.
