PGA champion Justin Thomas revealed in an Instagram post he and his wife are expecting a child this fall.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Golfer Justin Thomas had an up-and-down 2024 on the course, but he'll have at least one more fan the next time he tees it up.

Justin announced in an Instagram post Tuesday night he and his wife Jillian Thomas are expecting their first child in November. Justin shared the news in a lengthy post reflecting on his year and what's to come in the offseason.

"It will be nice to have some time to work on things, foundation event, some R&R, and even become a dad at the end of November," he wrote. "While I’m excited for the 'off season,' I’m already looking forward to practicing and getting ready for Maui. Thanks to everybody for countless support and kind words as I always appreciate it. That’s enough of me getting in my feels for today."

Justin and Jillian are both native Kentuckians. They dated for five years before becoming engaged in 2021, and getting married in 2022.

"She truly makes me a better person and every time being around her brings out a better side of me," Justin told People magazine in 2022. "I'm so fortunate that she is as patient and kind of halts her life for the lifestyle that I live. We've got a lot of great fond memories to look forward to down the road."

In the post, Justin expressed joy in qualifying for the Tour Championship last weekend, something he failed to do in 2023. He also congratulated Scottie Scheffler on an incredible season that included a Masters win, Olympic gold medal and winning the FedEx Cup.

Justin also spoke about Jim Furyk's decision to leave him off the U.S. Presidents Cup team. This will be the first time since 2016 Justin will not represent his country in an international competition.

"I’m obviously very bummed to not be joining the boys in Canada for @presidentscup, but completely understanding," he wrote. "Jim has put together a great team. I will be the first one pulling for them and watching, while using it as motivation to not miss a team event again as they are some of my favorite weeks I’ve had."

Justin failed to win a tournament in 19 starts this year, but did post five top 10 finishes. He finished tied for eighth at the PGA Championship at Valhalla in his hometown of Louisville.

His last win on the PGA Tour came at the 2022 PGA Championship -- the second time he won the event. Justin ended the season No. 30 in the official World Golf Rankings, three spots better than a year ago.

His top 50 finish in this year's FedEx Cup qualifies him for all of 2025's PGA Tour Signature Events.
