LOUISVILLE, Ky. — What better way to kick off a day at the races than with a Cajun brunch and live music?
That’s the question officials at Lou Lou Food and Drink, and Lou Lou on Market poses to anyone in town for Derby next weekend,
Owner Jared Matthews says they will be hosting their third annual Kegs and Eggs event on Oaks Day -- Friday, May 5 -- from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at both their locations in St. Matthews and in NuLu.
Matthews says the event is an invitation to celebrate Derby Week while also giving back to an organization specializing in helping the service industry.
A portion of the sales from the Kegs and Eggs event will go to Apron Inc.
Apron is a non-profit that steps in to help service workers in times of need, for example when a waiter falls and has an injury, Apron would step in to help cover the bills until that waiter can get back to work.
