LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Churchill Downs unveiled the official Kentucky Derby 146 logo, as well as commissioned artist Keith Anderson to create the "Official Art of the Kentucky Derby."
The logo, developed by branding agency SME, places viewers on the racetrack, paying homage to the iconic bugle that calls horses to the post.
Anderson, a Louisville-based artist and Brown-Forman employee, has previously created artwork for the Woodford Reserve commemorative bottles. The official art will be unveiled and available on select merchandise in the Spring of 2020.
Apparel featuring the 146 logo is available online now, and additional merchandise will be available at Churchill Downs, Louisville International Airport and other retailers starting this summer.
The 146th Kentucky Derby presented by Woodford Reserve will take place on May 2, 2020.
