According to data collected by USBets.com, the average cost of an Airbnb in Louisville on the day of the Kentucky Derby is 505.8% higher than the following weekend and 140.59% higher than the weekend before Derby.
Accommodations on Booking.com for Derby Day are estimated to be 300.63% higher than the following weekend and 379.8% higher than the weekend prior to the Kentucky Derby.
One the night of the race, a one-night stay at an Airbnb for two people is $1,637 on average, and accommodations booked on Booking.com cost an average of $1,070.
In comparison to last year's data, the prices on Booking.com are the same while the prices on Airbnb are 25.4% higher than last year.
The most expensive Airbnb option for Derby Day is an entire home four miles from Churchill Downs for $13,454. The cheapest option on Airbnb is an entire home 13 miles from Churchill Downs for $270.
The most expensive Booking option is an entire mansion 19 miles from Churchill Downs for $4,574, while the cheapest option is an entire home nine miles from Churchill Downs for $124.
