The Louisville native thanked everyone for their support during the entire week of PGA festivities.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — It was an emotional end for the hometown hero Justin Thomas.

Thomas said the week he’s had in Louisville has been nothing but incredible.

“It was better than the expectation, it was so much fun. I just really, really enjoyed this whole week,” he said. “Obviously [I] have a lot of great memories as a spectator or as a kid out here watching, but I definitely enjoyed on that side of the ropes a lot more and I can't say enough. Yeah, it is a thank you to everybody for the support. It was it was really, really special week.”

Olympian Xander Schauffele took home the Wanamaker Trophy after closing with a 6-under 65 to beat Bryson DeChambeau on Sunday.
