LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The KFC Yum! Center continues to draw events to its massive facility.

Officials at the Center said they were selected to host the first and second rounds of the NCAA Men's Basketball Championship in 2027.

"We are excited to once again host the NCAA Men’s Basketball First and Second Rounds,” General Manager Eric Granger said. “This event not only enhances our venue's reputation as a premier sports destination but also brings significant economic benefits to our community. We look forward to celebrating the spirit of college basketball in Louisville.”

The KFC Yum! Center has hosted the men's championship twice before in 2012 and 2015. It's also hosted the first and second rounds of the NCAA Women's Basketball Championship for several years.

“It’s always exciting news when Louisville is awarded NCAA national championships,” Greg Fante, the president and CEO of the Louisville Sports Commission, said. “Working in partnership with the University of Louisville and ASM Global, we were successful in our bid to host a major round of men’s basketball in 2027.”

Further details about the event will be announced at a later date officials said.
