LOUISVILLE, Ky. — For a mere $6 million, a piece of sports history that belonged to the "Greatest of All Time" could be yours.

This pair of white, satin boxing trunks that Louisville legend Muhammad Ali wore during his 1975 "Thrilla in Manila" bout with Joe Frazier is hitting the auction block in New York.

London-based auction house Sotheby's says the trunks were first auctioned off back in 1988 after the death of Ali's assistant trainer and cornerman, Drew "Bundini" Brown.

The sale price of the boxing trunks nearly forty years ago? A cool $1,000.

Ali's shorts are expected to sell for an amount between $4 and $6 million by the time the lot closes on Friday, April 12.

If the trunks sell for $5 million or more, experts say they'll be one of the top 10 most expensive pieces of sports memorabilia of all time.
