LOUISVILLE, Ky. — It's that time of year where anything can happen in college basketball.
The field of 68 has been set, and here's where area teams have landed on their quest to become national champions.
Western Kentucky
After winning their first Conference USA Tournament in program history, The Western Kentucky Hilltoppers are hoping their entrance to the big dance will turn into "one shining moment."
WKU (22-11) earned a No. 15 seed in the South Region and will head to Indianapolis to play No. 2 seed Marquette (25-9).
The Hilltoppers have not made a tournament appearance since 2013.
Don McHenry scored 25 points on 9-of-16 shooting with four steals to help No. 3 seed Western Kentucky beat UTEP 78-71 Saturday night and win the Conference USA Tournament for the first time in program history.
Morehead State
Morehead State has won their sixth straight Ohio Valley Conference Championship and are hoping to make some noise in the NCAA Tournament.
The Golden Eagles (26-8) are a No. 14 seed in the East Region and will play No. 3 seed Illinois in Omaha, Nebraska on Thursday.
This is their ninth appearance in the tournament and their first since 2021.

- Second round: March 23-24
- Sweet 16: March 28-29
- Elite Eight: March 30-31
- Final Four: Saturday, April 6 at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.
- NCAA championship game: Monday, April 8 at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.
