Louisville Slugger Museum unveiling temporary Savannah Bananas exhibit

Limited-edition t-shirts commemorating the Bananas' visit to Louisville will be sold at the museum store.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Baseball fans in Louisville are going to go absolutely bananas next week for a new exhibit dedicated to the Savannah Bananas at the Louisville Slugger Museum.

The unveiling of the temporary exhibit coincides with the Bananas' series against the Party Animals from Aug. 1 to 3 at Louisville Slugger Field.

The exhibit will showcase an array of memorabilia from the Bananas and Party Animals. Guests will have the opportunity to see gloves, knee guards and jerseys from both teams. Fans of the Bananas can enjoy the "Hold a Piece of History" exhibit, which will include a game-used bat swung by DR Meadows.

In addition to the exhibit, there are limited-edition t-shirts specifically made to commemorate the Louisville series. The shirts are available now at the museum store and will be available for purchase prior to Aug. 1.

The Slugger Museum will have extended hours on Aug. 2 and 3. The museum will stay open until 6 p.m. on those days.
