We made this video to show you how you can download the data Facebook has collected from you.
1. Sign on to a desktop computer.
2. Open any internet browser.
3. Go to facebook.com and log into your account. For this tutorial, I’m using a station account.
4. Click the triangle pointing down on the right of the page. Choose 'Settings'.
5. Click the link to download your Facebook data. A new page will populate giving you all kinds of ways to limit what you download. Facebook allows you to choose which types of information to download. You can select a date range. You can even change the file type and quality.
6. Click ‘create file’, after you have reviewed the options and made your selections. You will see a message that you file is being processed. This may take a few moments.
7. Click the ‘available files’ tab to view you’re the files pending download. Facebook will send you a notification when the download is complete.
8. Click 'download' to begin to extract the data Facebook has for you. After the download is complete you will be able to review the information Facebook collected from you.
