SHELBYVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – Authorities in Shelby County are investigating a multi-vehicle accident that left a stretch of I-64 West near Simpsonville closed Saturday.
Officials say the accident happened near the 24 mile-marker just after 12:30 p.m.
Emergency responders say 2 semi-trailers, a passenger vehicle and a pickup truck were all involved in the crash.
The number of injuries are unknown but officials say that one person was sent to the hospital via helicopter.
The road was reopened just after 8 p.m.
