LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- About 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday evening, an LMPD officer was involved in a vehicle collision on Dixie Highway at St Andrews Church Rd.
Official’s early investigation reveals that the driver of a passenger vehicle was southbound on Dixie Highway and was attempting to make a left turn, failed to yield right of way and collided with an unmarked LMPD vehicle that was northbound on Dixie Highway.
As a result of the collision, both drivers were taken to University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The LMPD Traffic Unit is investigating.
