Ohio man killed crash near Carrollton, Ky

The Kentucky State Police is on the scene of a fatal single-car crash on I-71 near Carrollton, Ky.

CARROLLTON, Ky (WHAS11) - An Ohio man is dead following a crash early Wednesday morning in Carroll Co.

32-year-old Benjamin Clark was ejected from the passenger seat of a vehicle that flipped several times after running into the median cables between the northbound and southbound lanes of I-71. Clark was pronounced dead at the scene.

KSP issued the following statement in regard to the incident:

An Ohio man died today as the result of injuries sustained in a single vehicle accident in Carroll County.  Kentucky State Police dispatchers received a call from Carroll County dispatch at 4:10 a.m. of a single vehicle accident at the 43 mile marker of I-71 North.  The vehicle entered the median and struck the cable barrier before overturning several times.  The passenger, Benjamin Clarke 32 of Logan Ohio, was ejected from the vehicle.  Clarke succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Carroll County Coroner.
 

KSP said the crash is still under investigation at this time.
