LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Two people were taken to the hospital after a crash on a Louisville interstate Thursday morning involving a semi tractor trailer and a car.

According to TRIMARC,  one lane of I-265 North between Westport Road and Brownsboro Road in Jefferson County remains blocked due to a crash that occurred around 10:30 a.m.

Emergency Medical Services transported two adults from the car involved in the accident to UofL Hospital. The driver is listed in critical condition while officials believe the passenger has non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the semi wasn't injured, according to an LMPD news release.

LMPD's Traffic Unit is handling the investigation.

All lanes were closed for several hours until officials opened the left lane at about 12:30 p.m. All lanes are now open as of 3:30 p.m.
