LOUISVILLE, Ky. — One person is dead and two others are in the hospital after a fatal crash happened in Elizabethtown, Kentucky on Wednesday.
Elizabethtown Police said just before 7:30 p.m., they responded to a crash at the intersection of Ring Road and Dixie Highway.
Investigators said a woman was driving on Ring Road when she crashed into the back of a pickup truck which was stopped at the Dixie Highway intersection.
The woman driving the car died, while the two that were in the truck were taken to the hospital according to authorities. They are expected to survive.
"We extend our most sincere thoughts and prayers to all those affected by this tragedy," police said.
They said their collision reconstruction team is investigating the crash.
