LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Editor's Note: WHAS11 News previously reported a pedestrian was struck in the area. LMPD has since reported a hit-and-run occurred.
Louisville Metro police are searching for the driver of a semi truck involved in a hit-and-run Monday morning in east Louisville.
At about 6:30 a.m., LMPD officers responded to a call of a vehicle collision in the 3000 block of Chamberlain Lane near the Kentucky Truck Plant, according to an LMPD news release.
Investigators believe the driver of a car rear-ended a semi truck on Chamberlain Lane when the driver of the semi truck drove off, leaving the scene of the accident.
The driver of the car sustained injuries to her legs and was transported to UofL Hospital. Officials say they expect her to survive.
LMPD is handling the investigation. Police are calling the incident a "hit-and-run."
