LOUISVILLE, Ky. — One child is seriously injured and an adult is also hospitalized after a rollover crash Monday morning in Louisville.
At about 10:20 a.m., Louisville Metro police responded to a vehicle collision involving a rollover on Poplar Level Road in front of Audubon Hospital, according to an LMPD news release.
Officers on scene found two vehicles that had collided. The SUV involved in the crash had rolled over and came to rest inverted. A third vehicle was slightly struck but remained in service.
The driver and passenger of the SUV were transported by EMS to two hospitals. Officials say the driver (an adult) arrived at UofL Hospital in "good condition" and the passenger (a child) arrived at Norton Children's Hospital in "serious condition."
Despite their injuries, LMPD officials say both the adult and child injured in the crash are expected to survive. LMPD's Sixth Division is leading the collision investigation.
