LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Police are on the scene of a serious crash that has left a 29-year-old woman dead in Louisville Thursday morning.
According to LMPD, a car and semi were involved in a crash at the intersection of Old Henry Road and Nelson Miller Parkway near the Gene Snyder around 4:45 a.m. on Aug. 20.
Police say that the semi-truck was struck by the woman's car, running a red light, traveling straight on Old Henry Rd. The woman's car was engulfed in flames and she was pronounced dead at the scene.
It is unclear what roads in that area are affected and if there will be any extended closures.
The Jefferson County coroner has identified the woman as 29-year-old Shaila Russell.
