Police: 2 separate vehicles crash on Louisville interchange, killing 1 and injuring another

Louisville Metro Police said about 2 p.m. on Sunday a car was on the ramp when they lost control and crashed into the concrete wall.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Multiple crashes on the interchange of I-65 north to I-64 east has left one person dead and another injured.

A Louisville Metro Police spokesperson said about 2 p.m. on Sunday a car was on the ramp when they lost control and crashed into the concrete wall.

The driver of that car was not injured and able to get out of the car to a safe location while police arrived authorities said. It is unclear how they lost control.

While officers were responding to that crash, police said another car somehow lost control and hit the concrete wall near the first crash.

The man driving the second car was taken to the hospital where he later died. A passenger was also taken to the hospital where they are expected to the survive.
