LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Louisville Metro Police is investigating a fatal hit-and-run that happened on the Watterson Expressway Thursday afternoon.
Police said the collision happened in the westbound lanes of I-264 in between Crittenden Drive and Southern Parkway around 3:45 p.m.
Authorities said their preliminary investigation found a passenger vehicle attempted to change lanes when it hit another vehicle, causing that one to roll.
Police said the driver from the vehicle that rolled was ejected and died at the scene.
They were the only one in that vehicle according to authorities.
Another vehicle driving around that time was also struck by the vehicle that rolled; the woman driving that vehicle was sent to the hospital but she is expected to survive police said.
According to witnesses at the scene, police said they are looking for a tan colored four door sedan last seen exiting the Watterson onto 3rd Street.
