LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Part of a major Louisville interstate has reopened Thursday hours after a crash that led to a semi truck being overturned.
Louisville Metro Police Department's (LMPD) Traffic Unit responded to a call of an overturned semi tractor trailer on the exit ramp from I-71NB to I-264 WB around 11:45 a.m.
Upon arrival, police said they found a single vehicle semi that had overturned on the ramp.
Fire was called to the scene as the man driving was trapped inside the cab of the semi. Luckily, authorities were able to get him out.
He was taken to UofL Hospital and is expected to survive.
No other vehicles were involved.
LMPD’s Traffic Unit is handling the investigation, and the cause is still under investigation
