LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Louisville Metro Police is investigating a fatal collision that happened in the PRP neighborhood Thursday night.
Police responded to a call of a collision at Greenwood Road and Lucille Avenue shortly before 9:45 p.m. officials said.
Their initial reports show the man riding a motorcycle was traveling east on Greenwood when he stopped to try and turn onto Lucille according to police.
A minivan traveling behind the motorcycle rear-ended it, and the motorcyclist went under the minivan according to LMPD.
Police said the motorcyclist died and the driver of the minivan stayed on the scene.
That intersection is closed until the Traffic Unit is done investigating according to police.
