LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A man was hospitalized after he was hit by a car early Wednesday morning in the Highlands.
At about 2:15 a.m., Louisville Metro police responded to a vehicle collision involving a pedestrian in the 900 block of Baxter Avenue, according to an LMPD news release.
Investigators believe a man was crossing Baxter Avenue from Morton Avenue, not in a crosswalk, when he was struck by a car traveling northbound on Baxter Avenue.
The pedestrian was taken to UofL Hospital where he was admitted with "life-threatening injuries," according to LMPD.
All parties involved stayed at the scene. Due to the severity of the pedestrian's injuries, the LMPD Traffic Unit is conducting an investigation.
