LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A man is in critical condition after a crash Sunday night near Okolona.
At about 6:15 p.m., Louisville Metro police responded to an injury-collision involving a motorcycle and passenger van in the 9900 block of Blue Lick Road, according to an LMPD news release.
The man operating the motorcycle was taken to UofL Hospital. Authorities say he remains at the hospital in "critical condition."
Investigators believe the motorcyclist was traveling south on Blue Lick Road at a "high rate of speed" when he lost control and struck a minivan traveling north on Blue Lick Road at School House Road.
The intersection was blocked for several hours until it reopened at approximately 10:15 p.m.
