LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A stretch of Preston Highway in Okolona has been shutdown due to an 8-inch water main break Friday morning.
Louisville Metro Emergency Services said on social media there was a "water main break/sinkhole" on Preston Highway between Cooper Avenue and South Park Road around 10 a.m.
According to Louisville Water, there is no sinkhole at the location and a few lanes of the road have since reopened. That being said, drivers are advised to use caution in the area as crews work to repair the break.
Twelve customers currently don't have water, a spokesperson for Louisville Water said in an update Friday afternoon.
It's unclear how long the closure will last for.
