LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Sherman Minton Bridge isn't the only bridge getting repaired this winter season.
In a news release from the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, officials said repairs on the George Rogers Clark Memorial Bridge, otherwise known as the Second Street Bridge, will start on Tuesday, Oct. 24.
Crews will repair the bridge railing along the sidewalk, as well as general sidewalk maintenance officials said.
Lane closures, traffic shifts and possible sidewalk closures should be expected.
Kentucky traffic officials awarded the $210,663.25 contract to Judy C. Harp Company, Inc from Frankfort, Kentucky.
Officials warned while its scheduled to be done by winter of 2023, weather and other unforeseen circumstances could delay the project's completion.
