All I-64 West lanes reopen after injury crash Wednesday morning

All lanes on a major Louisville interstate were closed for an hour Wednesday morning after a multi-vehicle crash. At least one injury has been reported.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Several lanes were blocked in a one-mile stretch of interstate in Louisville Wednesday morning after two crashes.

At about 6 a.m., two crashes were reported on I-64 West between the I-265 ramps and Blankenbaker Parkway. One crash was at mile marker 18.9 and the other is at 18.5.

One crash involved three vehicles and the other involved two, according to TRIMARC. At least one injury has been reported between the two crashes.

As of 7:30 a.m., all lanes have been reopened. It is unclear exactly how many injuries may have occurred or their severity.
