Louisville airport officials report busy Memorial Day

Director of Public Relations Natalie Chaudoin said scheduled capacity was at 95%, which is the airport’s best year ever, and 118% of what they say in 2021.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Officials at the Muhammad Ali International Airport report only one cancellation for Memorial Day travel.

Director of Public Relations Natalie Chaudoin said scheduled capacity was at 95%, which is the airport’s best year ever, and 118% of what they say in 2021.

Chaudoin said they use capacity to measure flight numbers because passenger figures won’t be available until June.

The only flight canceled was a Delta flight to Atlanta but is subject to change she said.

She recommended people planning to fly to arrive at the airport around two hours early to allow time for parking, checking in, going through security and navigating the expected crowds.
