LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Conditions change a bit more into the morning hours and beyond tomorrow. A combination of strong wind, some light rain and light snow flurries push through as a storm system arrives from the north. Because of the taste of winter, a Weather Impact Alert has been declared for Thursday.
Luckily, ground temperatures are far too warm for any sort of snow accumulation. We will be lucky to pick up any sort of light snow on grassy surfaces. Overall, roads will simply just be wet for both the morning and evening rush hour commutes. Wind gusts will be another story, as the wind will hammer us out of the west to northwest at times with gusts topping out between 25-35 mph through the day. Hold extra hard onto the steering wheel!
As the flurries come to an end early Friday morning, a much drier outlook is in the works for us Friday and into the weekend. This weekend will actually be a nice one! Sun and high temperatures well into the 50s are on tap for us. Rain returns on Monday of next week.
